About the Presenter:
Khiun Tjia subspecialties are cataract and glaucoma.
His research interest was in IOL evaluations from 1995-2003 (Alcon, AMO, B&L, Corneal, Human Optics, Staar).
He is a consultant for Alcon Laboratories and HOYA surgical optics. He was clinical evaluator for the Infiniti Vision system and OZil technology.
His current special interests are in innovations for phaco machines and IOL injection delivery systems. He participated in multiple live surgery programs ; the Netherlands, Belgium (5x), Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, Italy, ASCRS, ESCRS (5x) UKISCRS, AAO, ALACCSA, APAO, MEACO, HSIOIRS. Multiple presentations at ALACCSA, APAO, ASCRS, ESCRS, MEACO, SOE, WOC and national congresses on IOL’s and cataract surgery. Multiple articles in Eurotimes, Eyeworld, Ocular Surgery news, Ophthalmology times, Cataract Refractive Surgery Today US & Europe edition, Review of Ophthalmology, Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Invited speaker in several countries on Cataract surgery and IOL technology
