About the Presenter:
Suven Bhattacharjee completed his Medical School (MBBS) & Post graduation (MS Ophthalmology) from JIPMER (Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education & Research), India. He was the University Gold medallist in the Post graduate examination. He did his Fellowship in Vitreo Retinal Surgery under Dr. PN Nagpal, at the Retina Foundation, Ahmedabad, India. His videos have been selected for the Challenging cases symposium at ASCRS in 2008 & ESCRS in 2007 & 2009. He has been regularly conducting Instruction Courses at ASCRS & ESCRS. He has won the CS Reshmi Award for Best video & Best Presentation, Cataract free paper session at the All India Ophthalmological Society Annual Meetings. He has also won the BK Mitra award for Best paper, Sovabati Das Ghosh Award for Best Video, KP Roy Award for best Paper by young Ophthalmologist at the Ophthalmological Society of West Bengal Annual Meetings.

Dr. Suven Bhattacharjee has keen interest in Cataract Surgery and its complications. He has been in Independent Practice at Kolkata for the past 18 years & is also a Visiting Consultant at the Apollo Gleneagles & AMRI Hospitals Kolkata. He also has a Satellite practice at Jamshedpur for the past 5 years.

Along with his wife he has started the ‘Nayan Charitable Trust’ to give back to the society a little of what God has given him and his family in plenty. The trust offers grossly subsidised/ free Phaco surgery to the poor. To know more about Dr. Bhattacharjee and his work please visit
