About the Presenter:
Pravin K Vaddavalli serves on the faculty of the Cornea and Refractive surgery service and the Pediatric Ophthalmology Service at LV Prasad Eye Instittue , Hyderabad, India. He received the Young Investigator Award for outstanding research in clinical ophthalmology for 2005 at the second Singapore Eye Research Institute – Association for Research in Vision Ophthalmology (SERI – ARVO) meeting in Singapore. He won the best paper award for Cornea and refractive surgery at the All India Ophthalmological Society annual meeting in 2006 and 2010 for his work on confocal microscopy and epi LASEK. Currently, he is in charge of the Refractive Services and Contact Lens Services at LVPEI. He is actively involved in several research projects in contact lens and refractive surgery. His areas of interest include corneal surgery, cataract and refractive surgery, contact lens and corneal diagnostics. He has devised innovative modifications in deep lamellar and penetrating keratoplasty. He has published several papers, and presented posters at international and national forums.
