About the Presenter:
Dr. Williams has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for the past 20 years in various nonclinical and clinical development capacities. He has worked for the past 4 years as a director of clinical research at ISTA Pharmaceuticals and was the clinical lead at ISTA for the successful clinical development in 2009 of the drug Bepreve (bepotastine besilate ophthalmic solution) 1.5% for the treatment of ocular itching associated with the signs and symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis. Previously, Dr. Williams worked at several biotech and pharmaceutical companies in the San Francisco Bay Area (Chiron Corporation, Exelixis, Threshold Pharmaceuticals, Titan Pharmaceuticals) and in Pennsylvania (Magainin Pharmaceuticals), focussed principally on early stage clinical projects.
