About the Presenter:
Dr Satyen Deka, MS, DNB, FMRF (Vitreoretina), is presently the senior consultant & head of Vitreoretina unit at Sri Sankaradeva Nethralaya, Guwahati, India.Completed 2 years research fellowship and Vitreo-retinal fellowship from Medical Research Foundation (SANKARA NETHRALAYA), Chennai, in 1998-2000 Trained in vitreoretinal diseases at Moorefield’s Eye Hospital, London in 2004.DNB thesis guide and examiners of DNB, Vitreoretina exit examination.
Received YOUNG INVESTIGATOR MERIT AWARD in CLINICAL OPHTHALMOLOGY at first SERI-ARVO Meeting on research in vision and ophthalmology held at Singapore 6th –9th February 2003 & Received BEST VIDEO AWARD in INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON DIABETIC RETINAL DISEASES in Guwahati in 2006.Fifteen publications/ articles in journals/text book/ magazines as author or co-author. 30 Didactic lectures/instruction course lecture/ symposium talk in national / state conferences, 18international presentations/participation and more than 70 national / state presentations,
